Alan Price is a wildlife and nature photographer living and working in Criccieth Gwynedd. Over the last several years he has been fortunate to win nineteen major international and national awards in competitions such as International Garden Photographer of the Year, British Wildlife Photographic Awards and Bird Photographer of the Year. He uses Nikon gear and enjoys the beautiful scenery and wildlife that is found in Snowdonia.
In Alan's water series he has tried to capture the flow, texture and colours above and below water level of a local river. He selected a small weir where water cascade over small rocks with varying pools and eddies. Alan explains, 'The sun lit up the plant life in the water and gave the surface a cellophane appearance on one side and highlighted bubbly action on the drop'.
