Lynne Timmington
From an early age Lynne used every opportunity to paint and draw. When she had to choose her career she was advised by her teachers to go to art college, but, afraid of an insecure future she took her father's advice and went to teacher training college. After many years teaching in Primary Schools she found herself involved in many aspects of specialised art teaching of all ages, including adult art classes. Eventually this culminated in her being awarded in Chelmsford for Services to the Arts." Alongside this teaching career, Lynne always painted and in 2000 she won the "Pizza Express Contemporary Art Competition" for Anglia. Since that time she has focused entirely on her art career and now her work can be found in galleries all over the country and in private collections all over the world. Shows include The Barbican, National Theatre, West of England Academy of Art, and many other gallery exhibitions."
