Based in Berkeley, California, artist Elizabeth Hack finds her inspiration in the boundless and ever changing forms of the ocean. Her work is inspired by Sea Ranch, located on the north coast of California, where she often paints with a palette knife as she excavates throughout the composition; 'Process reigns with each stroke as I feel the fire or sea - or perhaps a green meadow. After the image has dried the forms are outlined with black ink - I continue to go deeper. Finally, a painting emerges - faith that the journey is now complete - the elements merge into one'. Elizabeth has exhibited her work in the U.S. for over 30 years.
