Close
Jacqueline Real has enjoyed quite an inter-continental start to her painting career, after studying Art in Zurich for several years, attending the International School of Modern Art in Salzburg - and then continuing her studies in Meran, Italy. Since then, she has settled in Brighton. Inspired by the unique light and colour of the sea in St Ives, Jacqueline's work is concerned with the expression of the subconscious and a positive feeling of life. She aims to express as much as possible using a minimum of colours and shapes. She explains; 'I want to throw light on both subliminal and conscious perception in a harmonious way. My aim is to show a balance between form and colour, static and dynamic forces and at the same time express, with different shades of light, a strong spiritual presence'. Jacqueline regularly exhibits in England and Switzerland, and has participated in exhibitions on America and Germany. She is also a member of the Swiss Painters, Sculptors and Architects, the Eastbourne Group of Artists - and a Fellow of the Free Painters and Sculptors Group, London.
